Caesura is a philosophical quotes discovery app designed for daily reflection and contemplative practice. By using Caesura, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your Account
You must provide a valid email address or use a supported sign-in provider to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Caesura.
Accounts are personal, one person per account.
Caesura Premium Subscription
Caesura offers optional premium features through a Caesura Premium subscription.
Plans: Monthly and annual options, with pricing displayed in the app at the time of purchase.
Free trial: If offered, the trial begins at the time of subscription purchase. You will not be charged during the trial period.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Payment: Charges are billed through the app store or payment provider for the platform where you subscribe, such as Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. Caesura never sees your payment card information.
Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through your platform subscription settings, such as iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Caesura Premium or Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Caesura Premium. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain full access until then.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by the app store or payment provider through their standard refund process.
Acceptable Use
When using Caesura, please:
Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
Do not abuse the service, overwhelm our servers, or automate access.
Do not use Caesura to distribute harmful or illegal content.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Intellectual Property
The Caesura app, its design, and branding are owned by Caesura.
Philosophical quotes are attributed to their original authors and are in the public domain or used under fair use principles.
Your personal data, including favorites, reading history, taste profile, reflections, and widget or notification preferences, belongs to you.
Limitation of Liability
Caesura is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Caesura Premium in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Continued use of Caesura after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination
You can stop using Caesura and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account.
We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms.
On termination, your right to use the app ceases. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.
